Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Parts Sales Specialist to enhance our Parts Department. In this role, you will engage with customers to sell parts, identify new sales opportunities by understanding their unique challenges, and foster strong customer relationships. Sales will be conducted over the counter, through our Service Department, and via phone interactions. Your primary focus will be to ensure a smooth experience for customers by coordinating effectively with the Warehouse, Parts Department, and Service Department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist Service Technicians in selecting necessary parts for ongoing repairs and ensure that all parts requisitions are submitted accurately.
  • Maintain a steady supply of parts to the service department to keep Technicians productive.
  • Provide assistance to walk-in customers in identifying required parts, suggesting complementary items, and promoting current specials.
  • Efficiently retrieve purchased parts from inventory in a timely manner.
  • Check the availability of out-of-stock parts and submit emergency orders as needed.
  • Answer incoming calls promptly, providing price quotes and relevant information while seeking to understand customer needs.
  • Notify the Shop Foreman and customers immediately upon the arrival of ordered parts and keep them informed of any delays.
  • Organize orders for daily shipment, delivery, or pick-up.
  • Occasionally assist with warehouse tasks, including loading and unloading shipments and managing stock.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in customer service.
  • A minimum of 3 years in truck or automotive parts sales.
  • Familiarity with Hino/Isuzu, box truck, trailer, or aftermarket parts is preferred.
  • A valid driver's license and the ability to meet insurance criteria.
  • Forklift experience is advantageous, with the ability to obtain certification through TEC Equipment.
  • Proven reliability in attendance and a commitment to safety.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Compensation:
The base pay range for this position is competitive and commensurate with experience.
