As the Strategic Pricing Manager, you will play a crucial role in the tactical, strategic, and operational management of margin and commercial growth initiatives. Your efforts will be vital in achieving price realization and facilitating market share growth for the Barnes business through relevant pricing strategies and innovative opportunities.


Key Responsibilities:

• Spearhead pricing enhancement initiatives through comprehensive data analysis, pricing strategies, and margin optimization efforts.

• Design and execute commercial growth initiatives for key accounts and distribution partners.

• Streamline and automate the quote-to-order process across various teams, including engineering and commercial.

• Establish and maintain a centralized pricing repository for quotes, analytics, and contracts.

• Proactively develop and manage timelines and milestones for commercial agreements, driving leadership and revenue growth.

• Collaborate with commercial leadership, finance, and operations teams to review and implement commercial contracts.

• Attract, nurture, and retain skilled professionals, fostering a high-performance culture. Organize the pricing function to consistently deliver results with integrity.

• Partner with the business to identify, assess, and implement margin management strategies.

• Provide insights and expertise on revenue generation and margin expansion strategies that achieve desired outcomes.

• Support the development and implementation of solutions aimed at enhancing process efficiency and analytical capabilities across the organization.

• Collect and analyze data regarding customer usage and value perception of our products and services.

• Create and implement pricing models for both new and existing offerings based on customer value and market competitiveness.

• Oversee pricing procedures, optimizing processes to maximize efficiency and ensure prompt responses to market dynamics.

• Conduct financial assessments to evaluate the effectiveness of pricing strategies.

• Collaborate with Product Management to align SKU and customer rationalization actions with pricing, order minimums, and inventory requirements.

• Aggregate and analyze transactional pricing data to gain insights into customer purchasing patterns. Measure the effectiveness of pricing processes and discount management across the organization. Validate the success of comprehensive pricing strategies.

• Document best practices as part of Margin Management Excellence and educate the organization on effective tool usage.

• Manage the price-volume trade-off of current offerings by maintaining awareness of evolving value propositions, adjusting prices accordingly, and communicating value to the market.

• Utilize established pricing methodologies and lean principles for planning, problem-solving, and driving continuous improvement.

• Conduct business and market analyses to support managerial decision-making.

• Collaborate with Product Managers and Sales Leaders to ensure alignment of pricing and product line strategies.

• In alignment with the Company's Core Values, work collaboratively with peers to enhance functional performance while promoting the philosophy of unity and teamwork.

Qualifications:

A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in pricing, deal management, program management, contract analysis, or analytics, with hands-on expertise in data visualization. At least 5 years of experience effectively leading remote, hybrid, and onsite teams. A proven history of implementing and successfully executing programs in a global business environment. A holistic view of problems, considering economic opportunities, required investments, risks, and anticipated returns. Strong business acumen with a strategic mindset and demonstrated achievements. Familiarity with PowerBI, M3, and JBA ERP systems is advantageous. Excellent communication skills, capable of simplifying complex concepts for both technical and business audiences. Willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 35% of the time. Ability to influence and hold team members accountable to ensure effective implementation of actions.

Education Requirements:

A Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Operations, or a related field is required.
