Position Overview:
The Senior IT Systems Administrator will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability, security, and performance of our IT systems. This position demands extensive knowledge of IT systems and exceptional problem-solving skills. The individual will collaborate closely with the IT Manager on various initiatives that support our organizational growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain enterprise-level computer systems, servers, network infrastructure, storage solutions, and virtualization environments.
- Monitor system performance, diagnose issues, and devise strategies for performance enhancement and system uptime.
- Establish and uphold security protocols to protect systems and data from cyber threats.
- Plan and implement system upgrades, patches, and migrations with minimal operational disruption.
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of IT systems, configurations, and operational procedures.
- Work collaboratively with IT teams to support projects and assess new technologies for infrastructure advancement.
- Stay informed about industry trends and emerging technologies in IT systems administration.
- Provide technical leadership, mentor team members, and manage projects effectively.
- Utilize physical, virtual, or cloud-based systems for infrastructure provisioning and automation.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT systems administration, focusing on enterprise-level systems and networks.
- Proficient in Windows and Linux server environments, Active Directory, VMware, SQL, and networking technologies.
- Experience with cloud technologies, particularly Azure, is highly preferred.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot complex technical challenges and implement effective solutions.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging with stakeholders at all organizational levels.
- Relevant certifications such as MCSE, VCP, CCNA are advantageous.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Commitment to continuous learning and professional growth.
- Familiarity with Windows PowerShell or other scripting languages, Okta, multifactor authentication, virtual networking, and VOIP is a plus.
Language Proficiency:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical documents, professional journals, and regulatory materials. Capable of writing reports, business correspondence, and procedural manuals. Proficient in presenting information and responding to inquiries from various stakeholders.
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to perform calculations involving discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages. Familiarity with basic algebra and geometry concepts.
Reasoning Skills:
Ability to solve practical problems and navigate various concrete variables in situations with limited standardization. Understanding of operational processes related to technology and communication equipment.
Certificates and Licenses: Must maintain a valid Driver's License.
Essential Functions:
This role requires effective communication, complex analysis of IT issues, and adherence to company standards. The candidate must be able to use computer equipment and perform physical tasks as necessary.
