Position Overview: Trade Compliance Senior Analyst
As a Trade Compliance Senior Analyst, you will play a crucial role in our innovative initiatives, responsible for safeguarding our operational rights by ensuring adherence to trade regulations and implementing trade programs that enhance our competitive edge. You will collaborate with a diverse team of dedicated professionals to deliver sustainable solutions that advance mobility, improve wellbeing, and enhance modern life. This position involves close collaboration with internal stakeholders, including trade compliance, master data centers of excellence, various supply chain departments, and Information Technology, as well as external entities such as customs agencies, auditors, and service providers. This role reports to the Regional Trade Compliance Manager and may include responsibilities as a global process leader.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the regulatory lead for multiple countries or regions. Analyze and interpret new regulations and implement necessary actions to ensure compliance.
- Identify and address trade-related issues, implementing process solutions for significant events and changes (e.g., Mergers & Acquisitions, system modifications, partner transitions).
- Lead internal or external audits, coordinating with internal teams and executing corrective measures.
- Evaluate the necessity for new and evolving Free Trade agreements and implement them in Global Trade Services as required.
- Analyze supply and demand planning data to forecast and pinpoint duty savings opportunities based on current or emerging trade programs. Support long-term assessments of special customs procedures (e.g., Duty drawback, suspension, bonded warehouses).
- Oversee SAP system controls and implement new controls in SAP as necessary.
- Bachelor's degree in business, Logistics/Supply Chain, or related fields.
- 5+ years of experience in compliance, supply chain, or a related domain.
- Proven experience in successfully managing external audits.
- Ability to address unique trade requirements by integrating import and export regulatory knowledge with Lubrizol's network insights.
- Demonstrated experience in conducting impact assessments.
- Strong strategic thinking, financial acumen, global perspective, and decisive leadership abilities.
- Comprehensive knowledge of free trade regulations, Lubrizol preference systems, and business needs.
- Excellent analytical skills and familiarity with existing and emerging trade programs.
- In-depth knowledge of GTS controls and systems, as well as import and export regulations.
- Customs Broker License.
- Certified Customs Specialist (CCS).
- APICS CPIM certification or equivalent.
