Role Summary:

As a Law Enforcement Support Specialist, you will play a vital role in assisting the Sheriff's Office and affiliated agencies. Your responsibilities will encompass various assignments across different divisions, including Records Management, Custody Support, and Patrol Services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute a range of specialized legal and administrative tasks, including clerical and technical duties in areas such as Records and Inmate Management.
  • Gather and compile data from diverse sources to complete and process necessary forms, documents, and reports in accordance with established protocols.
  • Address inquiries related to inmates, facilities, operations, and Sheriff's Office policies, while accurately inputting information into automated law enforcement data systems.
  • Engage with attorneys, plaintiffs, defendants, and other stakeholders regarding procedural requirements for inmates' court appearances, ensuring timely communication of relevant information.

Qualifications:

Sheriff's Technician I:

Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent, along with two years of progressively responsible clerical or support services experience, ideally within a law enforcement context.

Sheriff's Technician II:

In addition to the above, candidates should have one year of experience performing specialized technical duties in a law enforcement agency.

Licenses and Certifications:

  • Valid Driver's License with a satisfactory driving record.
