Job Overview

Spectrum Comm Inc is in search of a dedicated On-Site Supervisor to support our operations within the Department of Veteran Affairs. This position involves collaborating with a diverse and high-performing team of professionals, utilizing a proactive program management approach to ensure timely and high-quality task execution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the overall activities performed by Material Coordinators at the designated warehouse, ensuring compliance with all contractual obligations.
  • Provide training and guidance to Material Coordinators, fostering their professional development.
  • Assign tasks based on priority, considering the complexity and requirements of assignments while aligning with employee capabilities.
  • Ensure adherence to the Veterans Administration's Service Distribution Center (SDC) standards, maintaining accuracy in all transactions.
  • Maintain comprehensive records and utilize reporting tools to monitor warehouse project status.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement and collaborate with government personnel to enforce operational guidelines and safety protocols.
  • Monitor and evaluate employee performance, providing constructive feedback and conducting performance reviews.
  • Participate in the recruitment process, including interviewing candidates and making selection recommendations.
  • Adhere to all government policies and regulations.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Ensure accuracy in order processing, achieving a target accuracy rate of 90% and timely task completion.
  • Identify and report issues to the On-site Program Manager.
  • Implement new procedures and resolve conflicts, ensuring proper training and documentation for each Material Coordinator.

Qualifications

Education

High School Diploma (1-2 years of additional training or education is preferred).

Experience

A minimum of 5 years of supervisory experience in Supply Chain, Logistics, or Warehouse Operations is required.

Intermediate to advanced knowledge in logistics and supply chain management, including shipping, receiving, and order fulfillment processes. Strong conflict management skills and the ability to anticipate and resolve issues are essential. Effective time management skills are necessary to prioritize tasks and adhere to schedules.

Proficiency in inventory management software, Microsoft Windows 10, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Office 2010 or later, along with data entry and typing skills.

Familiarity with security measures to prevent product loss and control access, as well as knowledge of safety and hazardous material handling procedures to ensure a safe working environment.

Ability to guide and instruct employees on their duties, procedures, and policies, while monitoring their performance.

A Tier 1 Background Investigation (BI) is required.
