Overview

We are looking for a motivated and passionate Sports Marketing Specialist to join our team at Newtown Athletic Club.

The Sports Marketing Specialist will be instrumental in crafting and implementing marketing initiatives aimed at enhancing our brand visibility, engaging with our local community, and fostering business development. This role is ideal for individuals who have a strong enthusiasm for fitness and sports and are keen to contribute to both established and emerging business projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Marketing Strategy Development:
  • Design and execute detailed marketing strategies to elevate our fitness and sports offerings.
  • Oversee and coordinate marketing efforts across multiple platforms, including social media, email campaigns, content creation, and paid advertising.
  • Analyze and assess the effectiveness of marketing campaigns, making informed adjustments to enhance outcomes.
Content Creation:
  • Produce engaging content for various channels, including social media, blogs, newsletters, and promotional materials.
  • Collaborate with creative professionals to generate high-quality visual content.
  • Manage our social media accounts by scheduling posts, engaging with followers, and responding to inquiries.
Community Relations:
  • Build and maintain relationships with local fitness advocates, community organizations, and partners.
  • Organize and facilitate community events, workshops, and partnerships to boost brand recognition and customer interaction.
  • Represent our brand at events, embodying our mission and values.
Market Research:
  • Conduct research to identify market trends, opportunities, and consumer preferences.
  • Monitor competitors and industry changes to inform marketing strategies.
  • Gather and evaluate customer feedback to enhance our services and customer satisfaction.
Brand Management:
  • Assist in articulating and promoting our brand identity, ensuring consistency across all marketing platforms.
  • Develop and uphold brand guidelines and marketing materials.
Sales Collaboration:
  • Work alongside the sales team to create promotional content and campaigns that drive membership and program enrollments.
  • Support customer acquisition initiatives through targeted marketing efforts.
*Availability: Must be flexible to work some evenings and weekends.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Sports Management, or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience in marketing, ideally within the fitness or sports sector.
  • Strong grasp of digital marketing techniques and tools.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Proficient in social media management and content production.
  • Aptitude for data analysis and deriving actionable insights.
  • Creative mindset with a passion for fitness and a desire to motivate others.
  • Self-driven and capable of working independently in a dynamic environment.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Familiarity with graphic design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Canva).
  • Understanding of SEO and SEM strategies.
  • Experience with CRM systems and email marketing tools.
  • Event planning and coordination experience.
