Position Overview:

We are in search of a skilled and dynamic Mechanical Assembly Technician to become a vital part of our fast-paced manufacturing team. This role is essential in upholding the high standards of quality and efficiency that our company is recognized for.

The ideal candidate will be tasked with etching components, maintaining a tidy work area, executing mechanical assembly, and managing valves and fittings.

This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned professional with over 5 years of relevant experience to leverage their skills in a stimulating and rewarding setting.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct mechanical assembly tasks including fitting, alignment, and adjustment of components to comply with established specifications and quality benchmarks.
  • Etch components utilizing various techniques and tools, ensuring precision and adherence to design requirements.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, promoting safety and operational efficiency.
  • Service, repair, and install valves and fittings, ensuring optimal performance and compliance with safety regulations.
  • Provide expert guidance on assembly processes, offering insights and recommendations for process enhancements.
  • Collaborate with engineering, quality assurance, and other departments to resolve complex assembly challenges.
  • Perform inspections of assembled products to verify quality and conformity to design specifications.
  • Mentor and train junior assembly technicians, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and learning.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, technologies, and standards related to assembly operations.

Qualifications:

  • At least 5 years of experience in a similar role within the manufacturing sector.
  • Demonstrated expertise in mechanical assembly, etching components, and maintaining an organized work area.
  • Proficient in handling valves and fittings.
  • Strong comprehension of assembly drawings, schematics, and blueprints.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities, capable of working effectively both independently and collaboratively.
  • Skilled in using various hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments.
  • Knowledge of relevant safety standards and protocols.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy items and to stand for extended periods.
  • A degree or diploma in a relevant field (e.g., mechanical engineering, industrial technology) is preferred.
