Position Overview:

We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Assembly Technician to become part of our fast-paced manufacturing team. This role is vital in upholding the quality and efficiency standards that our organization is recognized for.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for etching components, maintaining a tidy work area, performing mechanical assembly, and managing valves and fittings.

This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified professional with over 5 years of experience to leverage their expertise in a stimulating and rewarding setting.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct mechanical assembly tasks including fitting, alignment, and adjustment of components to meet defined specifications and quality benchmarks.
  • Etch components utilizing various techniques and tools, ensuring accuracy and compliance with design requirements.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, fostering a safe and efficient environment.
  • Service, repair, and install valves and fittings, ensuring optimal performance and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Provide expert guidance on assembly processes, contributing insights and recommendations for process enhancements.
  • Collaborate with engineering, quality assurance, and other departments to address complex assembly challenges.
  • Perform inspections of assembled products to verify quality and conformity to design specifications.
  • Mentor and train junior assembly technicians, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and learning.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, technologies, and standards related to assembly operations.

Qualifications:

  • At least 5 years of experience in a comparable role within the manufacturing sector.
  • Demonstrated expertise in mechanical assembly, component etching, and maintaining an organized workspace.
  • Proficient in working with valves and fittings.
  • Strong comprehension of assembly drawings, schematics, and blueprints.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a meticulous attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities, capable of working effectively both independently and collaboratively.
  • Skilled in using various hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring devices.
  • Familiarity with relevant safety regulations and procedures.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy items, and to stand for prolonged periods.
  • A degree or diploma in a relevant field (e.g., mechanical engineering, industrial technology) is preferred.
