Job Summary

The University of California Agriculture and Natural Resources is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to serve as the UCCE Area Director. This leadership position is responsible for providing strategic direction and oversight to UCCE programs in Marin, Napa, and Sonoma counties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Management: Provide visionary leadership and management to UCCE programs, ensuring alignment with the University's mission and goals.
  • Program Development and Implementation: Develop and implement effective programs that address the needs of the region, including sustainable food production, economic development, and environmental stewardship.
  • Collaboration and Partnerships: Foster strong relationships with county government, agricultural industry organizations, and other stakeholders to advance the goals of UCCE.
  • Human Resources and Operations: Oversee the management of human resources, including personnel management, budgeting, and facilities management.
  • Communication and Outreach: Develop and implement effective communication and outreach strategies to promote the work of UCCE and engage with stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Master's or Doctoral Degree: In a relevant field such as agriculture, natural resources, or a related field.
  • Leadership Experience: Proven experience in leadership and management, with a track record of success in program development and implementation.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
  • Business Acumen: Strong business acumen, with experience in budgeting, financial management, and human resources.
