Job Summary

Support patient hospital discharge process by performing administrative tasks in a high-volume environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Administer complex and moderately-high-volume administrative tasks for patient discharge process with attention to detail and quality.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or higher preferred, but not required.
  • Excellent organizational skills and problem-solving abilities are essential.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills are necessary for effective collaboration with healthcare professionals.
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills are required to deliver excellent patient care.
  • Ability to multitask and complete tasks within specified timeframes is crucial in this role.
  • Proficiency in using Windows-based applications and databases is necessary for efficient workflow management.
  • Able to work independently under general supervision and make sound decisions to ensure high-quality patient care.
  • Able to maintain high standards of quality in a fast-paced environment.
  • Able to manage customer service and project workflow efficiently.
  • Able to respond effectively to moderately- to highly-complex issues.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Associate's degree or higher.
  • Two years experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in discharge planning, utilization review, registration, billing, or financial counseling capacity.
  • Familiarity with durable medical equipment companies, criteria, and authorization process.
  • Familiarity with electronic medical record and/or billing systems.
Compensation

$21.40 - $28.46 per hour based on location and experience.
