Position Overview

Role Summary: This role involves executing a range of tasks and responsibilities to support the operations of the Team Mobile Health Care. The individual will manage both emergency and non-emergency communications, engaging in the duties of a dispatcher and call taker, while also undertaking additional responsibilities as required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Exhibit leadership qualities, setting a benchmark for professionalism and behavior for colleagues.
  • Utilize EMS Computer-Aided Dispatch systems to efficiently and accurately process and relay information regarding medical ambulance requests to Team Mobile Health Care and associated clients.
  • Assess incoming communications to identify the necessary emergency medical service (EMS) support, dispatching appropriate units, and relaying information and messages as needed or per established protocols.
  • Showcase exceptional communication abilities and apply sound judgment in high-pressure situations, working under the general supervision of the Chief Executive Officer.
  • Continuously strive to enhance operational efficiency, reduce response times, streamline processes, and collaborate effectively to deliver high-quality, seamless customer service.
  • Operate an EMS Computer-Aided Dispatch console, which includes a multi-button telephone system, base radio, and computer terminal.
  • Respond to incoming calls, gathering essential information from callers.
  • Evaluate incoming requests to ascertain their nature and urgency, dispatching the necessary personnel accordingly.
  • Maintain awareness of the status and location of all EMS personnel and vehicles.
  • Relay messages and information to responding units and equipment.
  • Coordinate with external agencies as directed by the Manager on Duty.
  • Address routine inquiries or direct calls to the appropriate departments and administrative offices.
  • Consult with leadership on matters that deviate from standard procedures.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Tennessee Advanced EMT License is preferred.
  • Exceptional customer service and critical thinking skills are essential.
  • Strong multitasking and time management capabilities are necessary.
  • Prior experience in dispatching is preferred.
