Job Summary:
The Community Lending Specialist will play a crucial role in managing and promoting community lending products and activities throughout the Trustmark service area. This position will focus on assisting borrowers in low to moderate and majority-minority census tracts to originate mortgage loans.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategies to increase community lending participation and promote Trustmark's financial goals.
- Recommend loan products that best meet the needs of customers in low to moderate income communities.
- Collaborate with local, state, and federal agencies, as well as non-profit organizations, to create products and services designed for low to moderate income borrowers.
- Originate and promote Trustmark's Community Lending Loans and Products.
- Work with housing-related entities to educate and promote home ownership.
- Coordinate with the mortgage department to originate and service Community Lending products and services.
- Ensure adherence to regulatory and best practice policies and procedures in collaboration with the Credit and Compliance department.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in mortgage origination, processing, and servicing.
- Ability to work effectively with diverse groups of borrowers, housing-related entities, and community-based organizations.
- Working knowledge of financial compliance and regulatory requirements.
- Strong analytical, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
- Junior college or two-year college training or equivalent mortgage production experience.
