Special Events Coordinator

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Special Events Manager to join our team at Middlebury College. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, planning, and executing events to advance relationships with Middlebury prospects, donors, and volunteers.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with colleagues to articulate event objectives and outcomes
- Design event programs, marketing materials, and event follow-up to achieve desired outcomes
- Coordinate all event logistics, including catering, venue, transportation, signage, decorations, audio/visual, and presentation materials
- Develop and institute a plan to thank and recognize hosts, speakers, volunteers, etc.
- Create follow-up plans for event attendees
- Write event briefings and disseminate to staff, events hosts, speakers, and others as needed
- Bachelor's degree
- Minimum of 5 years related experience required
- Experience in a fundraising environment preferred
- Effective interpersonal skills, listening, diplomacy, and tact to build strong relationships with donors, volunteers, and all levels of staff
Evening and weekend work required; some travel.
