As a Lead Technical Architect & Solutions Engineer at A-TEK, you will play a crucial role in propelling innovation within our growth strategies while guiding our digital solutions across various domains. Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of up to 10 developers in support of a US Federal Agency, overseeing Operations and Maintenance (O&M) and Development, Modernization, and Enhancement (DME) for over 20 applications. Provide mentorship, coaching, code reviews, and establish operational standards for the team.
  • Collaborate with technical and customer domain Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to spearhead solutioning activities, resulting in distinctive, well-articulated solutions that address challenges and enhance customer experiences.
  • Develop technical solutions based on requirements outlined in Government RFPs and RFQs.
  • Act as a solutions architect in partnership with the CTO to formulate plans and roadmaps for modernizing 20+ applications currently utilizing various legacy technical stacks, including ColdFusion, PL/SQL, PrimeFaces, and IceFaces.
  • Provide architectural services to transition a suite of applications from data centers to a multi-cloud environment, including AWS GovCloud, Azure/M365, Salesforce, and ServiceNow platforms.
  • Prepare for requirements during the pre-RFP phase to identify solution gaps and assess potential teaming partners. Transform technology solutions into high-quality, well-crafted responses throughout business development, capture, and proposal development lifecycles.
  • Design Concept of Operations and System Models (i.e., logical and physical architecture) and translate them into a coherent narrative.
  • Employ critical thinking processes.
  • Maintain a high standard of ethics and professionalism at all times.

Qualifications

  • Education & Experience: A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related fields is required, with a preference for advanced degrees. Candidates should possess at least 15 years of professional experience, focusing on IT and digital innovation, including a minimum of 7 years in leadership roles directly influencing digital strategy and growth initiatives within the federal government or similarly complex commercial clients.
  • Certifications: Current AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional or DevOps Engineer – Professional certifications are mandatory for this position. Additional preferred certifications include Salesforce Integration Architect or Application Architect, and ServiceNow Professional Application Developer Professional Implementer.
  • Technical Expertise & Solution Development: Extensive technical knowledge in digital transformation, agile engineering, data analytics (including AI/ML), cloud services, cybersecurity, and/or emerging technologies is desired. Proven success in leading solution development for proposals, driving internal intellectual property solution development, and guiding digital solutions strategy is essential.
  • Ethical Leadership: A robust ethical framework guiding all professional activities, with a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of integrity and professionalism in both internal and external engagements.
