Role Summary:
We are in search of a skilled Lead Consultant for Technical Training / Learning and Development Expert to spearhead our training programs in a flexible capacity, with an emphasis on Microsoft technologies, particularly Microsoft 365 Copilot and Microsoft Power Platform. This position entails the design, development, and execution of extensive training initiatives and onboarding programs that facilitate the integration of AI tools into daily operations for both technical and non-technical personnel.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement high-quality training programs focused on Microsoft technologies, including M365 Copilot and Microsoft Power Platform components, ensuring content is tailored to the unique needs of various employee groups.
  • Create comprehensive training resources such as presentations, manuals, e-learning modules, practical labs, and case studies, utilizing real-world scenarios to demonstrate the practical use of AI tools.
  • Conduct training sessions across multiple formats, including in-person, virtual, and hybrid environments, fostering interactive discussions, workshops, and Q&A sessions to enhance employee engagement and learning.
  • Maintain and regularly update training and video libraries to ensure content reflects the latest advancements and best practices in Microsoft Copilot and AI integration.
  • Design and execute onboarding programs that assist employees in adopting AI-driven tools and workflows, providing continuous support and coaching to promote ongoing proficiency.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of training initiatives through surveys, assessments, and feedback, utilizing data-driven insights to refine and improve the learning experience.
  • Collaborate with IT, HR, and departmental leaders to identify training needs and customize programs accordingly, ensuring alignment with business objectives and timelines.
  • Act as a catalyst for change, promoting the adoption of AI tools throughout the organization and developing strategies to facilitate a smooth transition to new technologies.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Education, Learning & Development, Information Technology, or a related discipline is mandatory.
  • At least 7 years of relevant experience in technical training, instructional design, and curriculum development, especially within a federal contracting and professional services context.
  • Required certifications include:
    • Azure Fundamentals (AZ 900)
    • Power Platform Fundamentals
    • Security, Compliance, and Identity Fundamentals
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 Suite, including Teams, PowerPoint, and e-learning platforms.
  • Experience as an early adopter of Microsoft 365 Copilot.
  • Exceptional presentation and communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex technical concepts.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing training content libraries and utilizing learning management systems (LMS) and virtual training platforms.
  • Ability to work autonomously, manage multiple projects, and prioritize tasks effectively.

  • Adaptability to changing schedules and requirements across various contracts.
  • Commitment to staying informed about emerging trends in Microsoft 365 Copilot and AI tools to continuously enhance training strategies.

Compensation and Benefits

The anticipated compensation range for this role is between $110,000 and $140,000 annually, reflective of the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. This range is a good faith estimate that considers various factors, including role, location, education, skills, certifications, and experience.
