Volt Company Defunct is actively seeking a Crane Maintenance Specialist to join our esteemed team. This role is ideal for individuals who possess strong electrical and mechanical skills and are comfortable working at significant heights. As a Crane Maintenance Specialist, your responsibilities will include working with 480 3-phase motors, diagnosing issues with cranes, and collaborating with clients and facility managers to ensure optimal service delivery.

This is a full-time, DIRECT HIRE position.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct inspections, maintenance, and repairs on electric overhead traveling cranes and hoists at various customer sites. Participate in an on-call rotation for after-hours service.
  • Perform on-site electrical, mechanical, structural, and electronic troubleshooting to identify equipment malfunctions and implement necessary repairs using visual inspections and appropriate testing equipment. Complete a general post-repair audit to ensure all safety features are operational or document deficiencies as needed.
  • Adhere to all established safety protocols and procedures, including those set by the customer.
  • Maintain the company vehicle and uniforms in good condition.
  • Engage in monthly safety meetings.
  • Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications:
  • Associate degree in Industrial Electrical/Mechanical Technology or a related field, or equivalent vocational/technical training and experience.
  • At least one (1) year of experience in electrical troubleshooting and mechanical repair.
  • Some electronic experience is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Experience with cranes is advantageous.
Additional Requirements: Candidates must possess and maintain a good driving record, including a valid driver's license. Willingness to work at heights is essential. Availability for varied overtime and on-call duties as part of the service office rotation is required, along with occasional travel.

Physical requirements include the ability to frequently lift up to 25 lbs, lift up to 50 lbs daily, and occasionally lift up to 75 lbs and 100 lbs. The role involves frequent climbing, balancing, stooping/crouching, and overhead reaching, with approximately 90% of the time spent indoors and 10% outdoors. Exposure to varying temperatures, noise, and heights is expected.

Compensation: $38.00 per hour

Compensation offered will be based on various factors, including education, work experience, job location, specific duties, and certifications.
