Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Donation Attendant to join our team at The Salvation Army. As a key member of our store team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, processing donations, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Ability to speak, write, and understand English in a manner sufficient for effective communication
  • Basic computer skills, including payroll program and ability to learn other programs
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions and deal with problems involving several concrete variables
  • Ability to use basic math skills and pass a pre-employment drug test and background test

Physical Demands:

The physical demands of this position include standing for extended periods, using hands and arms to handle and feel objects, and hearing and talking. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.

Working Conditions:

The work environment for this position is a store environment with a quiet to moderate noise level. The employee may be exposed to outdoor weather and will require weekend and evening hours.
