We are seeking a dedicated Inside Parts Specialist to become a vital part of our expanding team at Transwest.

Shifts Available: 1st & 2nd Shifts

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver exceptional customer service by assisting clients promptly and courteously with their purchases and efficiently processing their orders.
  • Welcome and greet customers in a friendly manner.
  • Exhibit enthusiasm and a genuine willingness to assist.
  • Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs, ask relevant questions, and provide necessary information.
  • Collaborate with technicians and retail customers to ensure accurate part orders.
  • Provide prompt, courteous, and precise service to customers in person.
  • Drive sales through customer engagement, suggestive selling, and sharing product knowledge.
  • Maintain a process-oriented approach and record departmental data, including lost sales.
  • Answer phone calls professionally and courteously.
  • Follow up on customer orders and resolve issues to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain open and timely communication with customers and team members.
  • Handle conflicts and make effective decisions.
  • Inform customers about relevant policies and procedures regarding purchases, returns, and credit terms.
  • Guide customers through the facility as needed.
  • Stay familiar with all inventory products, merchandising programs, and ordering systems.
  • Perform data entry and retrieval on the computer system, including entering customer orders and obtaining inventory information.
  • Utilize and maintain technical resources for parts with the most current information.
  • Understand dealership credit policies.
  • Exemplify professionalism and a positive attitude while maintaining a neat and safe work environment.
  • Assist in keeping the facility clean and organized.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements:

  • Activities require a full range of motion, including handling and lifting, manual dexterity, and eye-hand coordination.
  • Position may require standing, balancing, bending, or stooping for extended periods.
  • Occasionally lift and carry items weighing up to 80 pounds.
  • Corrected vision and hearing within normal range are required.
  • Ability to work under stress or irregular hours may be necessary.
  • Lift truck certification and basic knowledge of warehousing equipment are required.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record.
  • Experience in selling medium and heavy-duty truck parts, automotive, or RV products.
  • Proficient computer skills are essential.
  • Knowledge of diesel engines, gas engines, drive trains, and suspensions is preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to follow instructions and adapt to various situations.
  • Able to resolve conflicts and make effective decisions under pressure.
  • Strong listening skills to understand and address customer needs.
  • Ability to analyze information, prepare written materials, and articulate goals.
  • Must successfully complete a General Abilities Assessment and pass background checks, physical, and drug screening.
