Job Title: Major Account Executive

Job Summary:

The Major Account Executive is responsible for achieving revenue goals by identifying and selling cloud voice and network services to new business prospects. This role requires developing and executing a comprehensive business plan, including key performance indicators such as prospecting activity, new appointment results, pipeline size and quality, proposal volume, and new revenue sold.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prospect, develop, and close qualified leads and opportunities.
  • Identify and qualify business opportunities, develop selling strategies, and prepare formal proposals.
  • Present to decision-makers within customer organizations, navigate complex decision-making processes, and overcome objections.
  • Closing new business according to targets, objectives, and plans.
  • Document all activity in a CRM system, Salesforce, in a consistent, timely, and accurate manner.
  • Engage and lead cross-functional/virtual resources as part of an extended team.
  • Excellent presentation skills are required, as well as the ability to execute successful video conferences using Webex or Microsoft Teams technology.
  • Understanding medium to large-sized business organizations and their buying cycles is preferred.
  • Accurate business forecasting, including monthly forecasts, weekly commitments, and pipeline development, is required.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business or Sales and Marketing, or equivalent work experience.
  • Proven track record of sales, including five or more years of business-to-business outside sales experience.
  • Proven track record of success in telecommunications or sales is preferred.
  • A successful candidate will be well-networked within the industry and have a maintained, professional, and up-to-date LinkedIn profile.
  • Preferred experience with Webex Collaboration, B2B Sales, Microsoft Teams, UCaaS, Internet Technologies, Voice Network Technologies, Data Networking Technologies, Business Continuity/Disaster Recovery concepts, and Challenger Sales Model.
  • Self-starter with excellent time management and business sales skills, excellent verbal and written communication, strong presentation skills, and strong persuasive abilities.
  • Results-driven with a focus on goal achievement, strong customer service orientation, and excellent follow-up skills.
  • Technical aptitude and strong knowledge of computers and the Internet, as well as proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Previous experience with Salesforce is strongly preferred.

Other:

60%+ out of the office meeting with customers; must have a car and valid driving license. Must be willing to travel on a routine basis via various modes of transportation (car, airplane, etc.). Employee must be available to work overtime as required.
