About the Role

M.C. Dean, Inc. is seeking an accomplished and self-motivated Strategic Sourcing Manager to join our team. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for managing high-visibility and high-value programs, working closely with our core program/project teams to ensure successful project execution.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement procurement plans during the bidding phase, including understanding contract specifications and estimated bills of material.
  • Source, identify, and prequalify viable vendors for each procurement package, evaluating scope, capacity, capabilities, capital, supply chain, and acceptance of MCD subcontract clauses.
  • Negotiate and finalize agreements, ensuring best value and lowest total cost of acquisition.
  • Monitor all deliveries until inspected and received, and close out procurement plans, including any open commitments.
  • Track and report on discrepancies and implemented corrective actions, capturing and communicating market intelligence across projects and programs.
Requirements
  • 5-7 years of experience in purchasing, with a focus on sourcing, negotiating contracts with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs), construction/specialty trade subcontractors, and fabricators.
  • Bachelor's degree plus a minimum of an equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience.
  • Proven written and verbal communication abilities, with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and SharePoint.
  • Familiarity with business, finance, and accounting principles.
