PAP Specialist Job Description

At AdaptHealth LLC, we are seeking a highly skilled PAP Specialist to join our team. As a PAP Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring our patients receive the best possible care and support.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Data Entry and Management: Accurately and efficiently enter patient data into our database, ensuring timely and accurate information.
  • Inventory Management: Understand and select inventory and services in key databases, ensuring seamless patient care.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Communicate effectively with referral sources, patients, and internal teams to ensure smooth operations.
  • Technology Utilization: Utilize technology to notate patient information and communicate with patients and internal teams.
  • Scheduling and Coordination: Schedule appointments for patients to pick up equipment and receive proper instruction on its use.
  • Financial Management: Explain financial responsibility to patients and ensure payment.
  • Audit and Compliance: Prepare and submit audit paperwork for Medicare and other insurance claims, ensuring continued compliance with healthcare guidelines.
  • Client Management: Monitor, communicate, and manage clients on Positive Airway Pressure devices, encouraging compliance with PAP equipment and program.
Requirements:
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: One (1) year of work-related experience in healthcare administrative, financial, or insurance customer services, claims, billing, call center, or management.
  • Senior Level: Two (2) years of work-related experience and one (1) year of exact job experience.
