Job Summary:

The General Manager is responsible for directing, managing, and optimizing a branch production facility's overall operations and financial performance. This includes ensuring high levels of service quality and customer satisfaction, as well as developing and implementing policies and procedures to guide branch operations' productivity, quality, and cost efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Directs multi-functional plant teams, including customer service, plant and equipment maintenance, production, quality assurance, and human resources.
  • Ensures robust plant safety and security, auditing, and training procedures are implemented to meet OSHA and other required regulations.
  • Collects operational metrics to analyze productivity and set performance targets to meet revenue and cost goals.
  • Supports the development and deployment of processing practices focused on quality and continuous improvement.
  • May lead labor relations negotiations and engage with union leadership involving branch operations.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of managerial experience in the industrial laundry or linen supply industries.
  • Exceptional skills in production, sales, and service, with excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop staff, with a strong commitment to superior customer service and business growth.
  • Valid driver's license and a driving record free of chargeable accidents, speeding, safety, or other violations.
Education:

Bachelor's degree in management, engineering, finance, or equivalent preferred.

Work Environment:

General office environment, vehicles on public roads, customer locations, and areas of a typical industrial laundry facility.

Travel Requirements:

Regularly driving by vehicle within a designated branch territory, with occasional travel by plane.
