Job Title: Branch Operations Manager

At Belt Power LLC, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Branch Operations Manager to oversee the daily operations of our Grand Rapids, MI branch. This is a salaried position with the potential for an annual bonus based on branch/area profitability and other key productivity metrics (KPI).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage office activities, production, and facility management for the branch operations.
  • Handle quotes and orders for outside salespeople and customers.
  • Maintain on-time quote and order acknowledgment response time.
  • Meet with and manage vendors/suppliers.
  • Source products and optimize shop production.
  • Assist with scheduling installations and optimize shop fabrication and workflows.
  • Oversee shop supply orders and approve inventory levels.
  • Review and initiate inventory re-orders.
  • Manage inside salespeople and shop employees, including scheduling and approving work and PTO schedules.
  • Verify branch hourly employee timecards.
  • Oversee repairs/upgrades to branch physical structure and facilities.
  • Maintain facility IT equipment, computer system, and phone system.
  • Schedule and coordinate outside contractors.
  • Communicate all branch activities to supervisor.
Requirements:
  • High School graduation, College Degree preferred.
  • Experience within the Industrial Distribution segment.
  • Prior Leadership and or management experience preferred.
  • Organization and prioritization skills; attention to detail.
  • Highly responsive to and respectful of customer needs.
  • Strong communication skills written and verbal.
  • Cold call in person and over the phone with ease.
  • Competency in Microsoft Office Suite of programs.
  • Competency in the ERP system.
  • Ability to lift, up to 50 pounds.
  • After normal hours and weekend work may be required.
  • Overnight travel.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
  • Must be able to pass a drug screen, and background check.

Physical Demands:

The Branch Operations Manager may lift and / or move up to 50 pounds and will require manual dexterity and strength in arms and feet to manipulate equipment controls. Tools, and other items used to make adjustments and/or minor maintenance. Will use hands, arms, back, and shoulders to handle, installs, position, move items, and manipulate other objects. Could be in a sitting, standing, bending, kneeling, or sitting position for long periods of time.

Work Environment:

While performing the duties of this position, the Branch Operations Manager will be regularly exposed to working near moving and mechanical parts and equipment. The noise level in the work environment can be loud.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full-time position in a shop and at the customer site. Typical workdays and hours are Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm. Frequent overtime hours and weekend work may be required.

Pay Range: $89,000 - $110,000 a year
