Key Responsibilities:

As a Senior Systems Application Engineer specializing in Packaged Water Systems & Hydronic Pumps, you will leverage your extensive product knowledge to support sales representatives with technical solutions. Your technical expertise in hydronic system pumps, combined with strong communication skills, will help you establish consultative relationships with both internal team members and external contacts (suppliers, sales representatives) to ensure our solutions meet and exceed client expectations.

Core Duties Include:
  • Engage deeply with all relevant Cleaver-Brooks product information while keeping abreast of new products and industry developments.
  • Analyze engineering plan drawings and customer specifications.
  • Prepare quotations that include equipment and option pricing structures based on specification reviews, product standards, engineering drawings, and bills of materials.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders at all levels, including executive management, operations, suppliers, R&D, sales & marketing, product management, production, and engineering.
Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in application engineering, sales engineering, or similar engineering roles.
  • Demonstrated experience in sizing and selecting hydronic system pumps.
  • Proficiency in piping pressure drop/loss calculations.
  • Familiarity with piping material specifications (welded, grooved, threaded, carbon steel vs stainless steel).
  • Knowledge of control valve operation for steam and hot water systems or basic control logic.
  • Exceptional communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally with stakeholders at all levels.
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering is preferred but not mandatory.

Physical Requirements:

This role requires computer proficiency, moderate typing speed, and a high level of data input accuracy. The position involves light physical exertion, including lifting up to 50 pounds.

Work Environment:

Normal working conditions in a plant, shop, field, or office setting. Minimal exposure to hazardous working conditions.
