Role Overview:

As a Systems Engineer II, you will operate under the guidance of the IT Manager, adhering to established protocols to deliver technical outcomes. Your role will involve researching, identifying, proposing, designing, and assisting in the implementation of technical solutions for various challenges and project tasks, in line with our organizational policies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage with IT and business stakeholders to translate their needs into actionable technology requirements.

  • Conduct thorough technical research and gather facts to support root cause analysis for assigned issues.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation for tasks in accordance with company standards.

  • Contribute to the preparation of requirements and technical documentation for assigned tasks.
  • Resolve issues following established guidelines, typically under the mentorship of senior engineers.
  • Design, develop, or configure systems to fulfill documented project requirements.
  • Play a crucial role in implementing technical solutions under the supervision of senior engineers or project managers.
  • Engage with vendors as needed, following directives from project leaders.
  • Perform system maintenance, including applying security updates, conducting system upgrades, and executing preventative maintenance tasks.
  • Assist in the design, development, and implementation of technical prototypes or proof of concepts.
  • Develop and document technical testing plans to ensure that negative impacts are minimized.
  • Adhere to and suggest enhancements for quality assurance and change management processes.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline (e.g., Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or a related field) or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience as a technical engineer in a corporate or consulting setting.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information to non-technical audiences.
  • Strong project management capabilities, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Experience in vendor management.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certifications such as PMP, SAFe, Scrum Master, Product Owner, or other Agile credentials.
  • Familiarity with business applications like Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365), Microsoft Power Platform, Workday, Azure DevOps, or Freshservice.
  • Ability to effectively plan, prioritize, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong analytical skills with the capability to recommend effective solutions.
  • Ability to conceptualize data and understand its impact on business processes.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated analytical skills and business insight.
