We are seeking a seasoned professional to lead our government engagement strategy, leveraging their expertise in defense and national security to drive strategic outcomes on Capitol Hill and beyond.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive government relations strategy to advance Hermeus' business development goals.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including congressional members, staff, and executive branch officials.
  • Monitor and analyze the annual congressional policymaking process, identifying opportunities to drive favorable outcomes for the company.
  • Collaborate with the C-Suite to ensure alignment between corporate strategic goals and government relations efforts.
  • Coordinate with external lobbyists to support the company's campaigns and initiatives.
Requirements:
  • 8+ years of experience in defense and national security on Capitol Hill or in government relations roles.
  • Deep understanding of U.S. federal appropriations and policymaking processes.
  • Proven track record of successfully planning and executing strategies to advance government relations objectives.
  • Experience in defense policy and budget matters, with a solid grasp of the defense and national security sector.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, action-oriented environment with critical decision-making.

Hermeus offers a competitive salary range of $220,000 - $250,000 per year, commensurate with experience. We are an Equal Opportunity Employer and welcome applications from diverse candidates.
