Role Overview

The Pricing Analyst position offers a unique opportunity to be part of a dynamic analytics team focused on strategic initiatives. This role involves collaborating across departments to provide data-driven insights that enhance sales and profitability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct in-depth analysis of extensive datasets to derive actionable insights and recommendations for business leaders, impacting sales and profitability positively. Key areas include promotional optimization, price investments, category rebalancing, competitive pricing analysis, and program measurement.
  • Create KPI reports that effectively communicate findings to executive leadership.
  • Collaborate on significant data-driven pricing projects, enhancing reporting and data processes across departments.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to develop reports that align with merchandising goals.
  • Monitor competitor activities and market trends to inform pricing strategies.
  • Gain a comprehensive understanding of financial levers within categories, including sales, markdowns, funding, and profitability.
  • Analyze customer shopping behaviors and market dynamics to refine pricing strategies.
  • Partner with leadership to align business initiatives with pricing strategies, anticipating market changes.
  • Assess the impact of marketing and promotional activities on customer purchasing patterns to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Support complex analyses and projects for the Strategic Pricing team, ensuring accessibility and relevance of results for business users.
  • Foster strong relationships with stakeholders, advising on how to achieve business objectives through data insights.
  • Design reports and executive summaries that clearly convey analytical findings and recommendations.
  • Propose and implement continuous process improvements, focusing on automation of analyses and reporting.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range for this position is between $62,700 and $100,000 annually, with variations based on location, experience, and qualifications. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, disability, life insurance, accrued sick pay, PTO/Vacation Pay, paid holidays, bereavement pay, and retirement benefits.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Marketing, Finance, or Statistics, or equivalent experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience with SQL is preferred.
  • Familiarity with Business Intelligence tools.
  • Ability to synthesize and summarize large volumes of information effectively.
  • Strong initiative and planning skills; capable of working independently while being a collaborative team member.
  • Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Previous experience in pricing analysis is preferred.
