Position Description:

We prioritize a safe and encouraging work atmosphere, and the Construction Financial Analyst will be instrumental in our finance department, managing Accounts Receivable, Job Costing, and Reconciliations.

This role includes overseeing construction and architectural job costing tasks while also engaging in process enhancement initiatives as they arise.


Main Role & Responsibilities:
Act as a liaison between our finance and project teams to evaluate and process all billing related to progress and time & materials.
Generate monthly cost and revenue reports for discussion with project teams regarding project billing.
Compile and present data on company billings, costs, and accounts receivable during monthly cross-divisional meetings.

Collaborate with Project Managers and Engineers across all divisions on billing, budgeting, job setup, cost reviews, and reporting inquiries.

Oversee budget imports and setups using financial software.
Assist the CFO in reviewing Work in Progress reports monthly with division managers.
Process and analyze accounts receivable reports with each division and manage client communications.
Supervise cost adjustments.
Support month-end reconciliations for designated accounts.
Contribute to the implementation of new processes and improvements in accounting practices across the company.

Success in this Role:
Ideal candidates will possess a degree in Accounting or a related field.
Experience with financial software is preferred.
Must demonstrate professionalism and a willingness to learn as part of a team.
Exhibit strong leadership skills, self-motivation, and a positive attitude.
Possess excellent problem-solving abilities; detail-oriented and deadline-driven.
Have a strong desire to improve processes and explore the capabilities of accounting software.
Must be adaptable and able to switch between various tasks as needed.

Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with the ability to take initiative, be flexible, exercise sound judgment, and follow through on multiple projects to completion.

Ability to master project-specific software systems, including but not limited to: Microsoft Office 365 suite, financial management software, and design tools.

A minimum of 2-4 years of accounting experience
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, design software, and financial management systems.
