Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the Event Producer for significant programs and external conferences.
  • Collaborate with Marketing leadership and Regional Sales teams to formulate and execute a comprehensive Community marketing strategy.
  • Maintain meticulous planning and documentation to facilitate stakeholder collaboration.
  • Utilize Salesforce CRM for tracking, reporting, and documentation, which is essential for success in this role.
  • Engage extensively with various functional teams across the organization.
  • Bring a dynamic and positive attitude that reflects the core values of DigitalOcean.
  • Oversee the management of both virtual and live events.

Expectations:

  • Proficient in event management tools, registration platforms, CRM systems, and other technologies to enhance event processes and attendee experiences.
  • In-depth understanding of the B2B SaaS and Developer events landscape, including major industry events.
  • Manage staffing plans and event logistics, including venue selection and coordination with event staff and technical teams.
  • Establish relationships with experiential agencies and production vendors while effectively managing project budgets.
  • Demonstrated success in driving revenue through lead generation-focused events, with the ability to define success metrics and analyze outcomes for future planning.
  • Experience in field marketing or demand generation, collaborating closely with sales teams.
  • Strong networking and communication skills, with a focus on building and maintaining stakeholder relationships.
  • Awareness of emerging trends in cloud services and the ability to leverage opportunities for DigitalOcean.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and capable of managing multiple priorities effectively.
  • Curiosity and a willingness to explore new ideas and take calculated risks.
  • Familiarity with Marketo and Salesforce platforms is preferred.
  • Experience in Developer or Start-up environments is advantageous.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to promote events through various channels, including email campaigns and the company website.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.
