About Siskin Children's InstituteWith over 70 years of experience, Siskin Children's Institute stands as a leading non-profit organization dedicated to supporting children with special needs. Our multidisciplinary developmental pediatric clinic collaborates with a team of experts, including developmental pediatricians, medical staff, psychologists, therapists, behavior analysts, and technicians, to deliver cohesive and nurturing treatment.
Position OverviewAs a Behavioral Therapy Technician, you will provide direct 1:1 therapy to children diagnosed with autism or other developmental and intellectual disabilities. Flexibility in your schedule is essential, as you will be required to work Monday through Friday, including some evening appointments.
Qualifications- Must be at least 18 years old and have completed high school or an equivalent.
- Current RBT Certification from the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) is required.
- Valid driver's license and CPR/First Aid certification are necessary.
Ideal candidates will possess:
- Knowledge of early childhood development and autism assessment tools.
- Experience in implementing positive behavior support plans developed by a BCBA.
- Familiarity with applied behavior analysis techniques and discrete trial training.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with children, parents, and professionals.
- Basic computer skills and proficiency in required software.
- Respect for cultural diversity and the ability to adapt ABA procedures accordingly.
- A commitment to maintaining 75% billable productivity.
- Deliver direct behavior therapy to young children diagnosed with autism in various settings.
- Implement behavioral interventions under the guidance of a BCBA, tailored to the client's needs.
- Provide constructive feedback to parents and teachers as directed by the supervising BCBA.
- Collaborate with a team to ensure optimal care and exceptional outcomes for our clients.
