Key Responsibilities

The HR Generalist will play a pivotal role in fostering relationships across all organizational levels, addressing Human Resources needs effectively. Responsibilities include:

  • Human Resources Management: Oversee and assist in various HR functions such as recruitment, employee relations, training, payroll, and benefits management within collaborative teams.
  • Employee Relations: Cultivate positive interactions between staff and management, addressing concerns and ensuring compliance with labor laws.
  • Project Oversight: Manage HR projects and initiatives, working alongside cross-functional teams to drive innovation and achieve organizational objectives.
  • Compliance Assurance: Ensure adherence to employment laws and internal policies through regular audits and training.
  • Systems Management: Optimize HR systems and processes, ensuring data accuracy and supporting users to meet organizational needs.
  • Training Development: Design and implement training programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge in compliance, safety, and HR policies.

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of HR administrative or supervisory experience, preferably in a non-profit or distribution setting.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field is preferred.
  • Knowledge of California employment and wage & hour laws.
  • Strong analytical skills and resourcefulness in problem-solving.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively, demonstrating a service-oriented approach.
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and adaptability.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills with high emotional intelligence.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite, Google Suite, and HRIS systems.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is required.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation are necessary for travel within the designated area.
