Position Overview:
The Senior Healthcare Recruiter for Physicians is accountable for overseeing the physician recruitment lifecycle at PIH Health.

This role involves executing comprehensive physician recruitment by establishing sourcing strategies, identifying qualified candidates, evaluating cultural and role compatibility, and negotiating physician offers and contracts in collaboration with department heads and executive leadership.

The Recruiter plays a crucial role in formulating strategic and holistic physician recruitment initiatives aligned with the organization’s objectives.

It is essential for this individual to possess a profound understanding of the physician recruitment landscape and demonstrate strategic and innovative thinking.

Working both independently and as part of a team is vital to ensure the achievement of all recruitment targets.

Demonstrated leadership and exceptional interpersonal abilities are critical, as the ideal candidate will cultivate and sustain relationships with physicians and other healthcare professionals.

This position demands strong organizational capabilities, meticulous attention to detail, and the capacity to juggle multiple projects concurrently.

The Recruiter will assess and enhance recruitment processes.

This role will involve significant interaction with the Vice President of Medical Group Operations, Department Chairs, Chiefs, and the President of the Medical Group.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Attend residency recruitment events and national job fairs to engage with potential candidates.
  • Conduct preliminary candidate screenings and interviews to evaluate fit within the organization.
  • Deliver personalized, high-touch recruitment services to prospective physician candidates, ensuring a tailored and meticulous approach from initial contact through onboarding, fostering robust relationships, and providing a premium, seamless experience that caters to the unique needs of each candidate.
  • Collaborate with department heads and leadership to devise and implement effective recruitment and sourcing strategies for physicians across various specialties.
  • Incorporate strategies to attract candidates from diverse backgrounds.
  • Oversee the recruitment process while maintaining open and responsive communication with candidates, hiring managers, physician leadership, administration, and recruitment-related agencies as necessary.
  • Facilitate the collection of feedback from candidate interviewers and disseminate results.
  • Coordinate the candidate assessment process and debrief meetings with hiring managers.
  • Conduct professional reference checks on candidates.
  • Participate in the candidate offer process.
  • Prepare and process physician contracts for approval and present offers.
  • Develop innovative strategic plans to address competitive challenges in the marketplace and adapt sourcing strategies accordingly.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in utilizing Applicant Tracking System (ATS) software to manage the recruitment process.
  • Familiarity with recruitment-related technologies (CRM, LinkedIn, Recruiter, Boolean, Sourcing Tools) is essential.
  • Some travel may be required.

Qualifications:
Required:
  • Bachelor's degree in healthcare, Business Administration, Human Resources, or equivalent education and experience.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in physician recruitment for hospitals and/or health systems.
  • Proven success in recruiting physicians.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to travel nationally for recruitment events.
  • Strong professionalism and presentation skills.

Preferred:
  • Certified Physician/Provider Recruitment Professional (CPRP).
  • Experience working with senior leadership and/or physician leadership.
