Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and receive domestic and international shipments, working with various carriers and shipping modes.
  • Prepare and process required documents and transactions for receiving materials, utilizing ERP, carrier-based, and manual systems.
  • Utilize RF devices for accurate storage of materials and transfer them to and from bin locations efficiently.
  • Oversee the small tools Kanban setup with the Label department, ensuring timely ordering for production use.
  • Coordinate delivery with carriers and/or forwarding agents, and distribute required documentation to necessary recipients.
  • Investigate and resolve issues related to receipts, including storage, retrieval, and analysis of historic receiving transactions and documentation.
  • Verify, notify, and reroute incoming material, letters/packages, equipment, and supplies to the appropriate employee/location within the facility.
  • Adhere to returned goods procedures, communicate the receipt of materials, and process upon approval.
  • Ensure all received items match receipt paperwork and match the corresponding purchase order.
  • Generate and/or maintain various shipping and receiving reports, as required.
  • Maintain Alene standards of performance and comply with housekeeping, safety policies, and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Logistics Manager.
Requirements
  • 2-3 years of relevant experience
  • Certified forklift operator license
  • High School diploma or general education degree (GED)

Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to prioritize work, use time efficiently, and work accurately with interruptions to meet deadlines.

Physical Demands & Work Environment

The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to handle or touch; reach, talk, hear, and smell. The employee may be required to kneel, crouch, sit, climb, or balance. The employee may lift and/or move up to more than 75 pounds with assistance. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. The employee may be regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and aromas. The employee is occasionally exposed to airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
