Key Responsibilities
- Direct and oversee all inbound operations, ensuring compliance with customer and company standards.
- Lead the inbound team in the efficient unloading of freight, verifying shipment accuracy, and maintaining accurate records in our systems.
- Serve as the primary contact for all inquiries related to inbound logistics, collaborating with internal departments and external vendors to resolve issues promptly.
- Ensure adherence to protocols for receiving documentation and manage the approval process for shipments.
- Maintain accountability during inspections and audits, ensuring accurate record-keeping and prompt responses to inquiries.
- Coordinate inbound shipment schedules and serve as the main liaison for carriers.
- Manage the morgue inventory, ensuring all items are accounted for and returned according to vendor policies.
- Participate in management meetings to discuss performance metrics and develop action plans for operational improvements.
- Conduct daily briefings with the management team to assess previous performance and strategize for current operations.
- Ensure accurate processing of customer returns and maintain high inventory accuracy through regular audits and adjustments.
- Oversee the performance management of the inbound team, including training, evaluations, and development initiatives.
- Engage in additional projects and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
- A minimum of three years of experience in a warehouse or production environment.
- At least two years of experience in a pharmaceutical distribution setting.
- Three years of management experience is required.
- A Bachelor's Degree is mandatory.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with distribution processes is necessary.
- Forklift certification is preferred.
- Experience with Six Sigma or Lean methodologies is advantageous.
Physical Requirements
This role requires extensive computer use and the ability to lift and transport items weighing up to 70 pounds. Candidates should be prepared to stand or walk on concrete for extended periods and engage in tasks that involve bending and reaching.
