Position Overview

Role: We are seeking a Senior GIS Analyst/Project Manager to join our dynamic team. This role involves leveraging Geographic Information Systems (GIS) to create and analyze digital mapping data that supports various organizational initiatives in product planning, design, and execution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive strategic planning and execution efforts.
  • Identify and secure new business opportunities, enhancing the client portfolio through effective marketing and proposal development.
  • Engage in professional organizations to elevate the company's presence within the industry and community.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior staff members.
  • Oversee project management tasks to ensure successful project delivery.

Technical Duties:

  • Manage the acquisition and integration of spatial data into organized GIS formats.
  • Establish and enforce quality control measures across diverse data types, ensuring completeness and accuracy.
  • Conduct spatial analyses and generate informative products utilizing GIS software.
  • Create high-quality maps adhering to cartographic standards for various stakeholders.
  • Develop custom web applications with ArcGIS Experience Builder.
  • Design field collection applications using ArcGIS Field Maps and similar platforms.
  • Administer data and applications within an ArcGIS Enterprise framework.
  • Communicate the benefits of GIS technology to non-technical audiences.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in GIS, geography, planning, computer science, engineering, geology, or a related discipline. A bachelor's degree or GIS certification may be acceptable based on relevant experience.
  • A minimum of twelve years of experience in GIS, business development, and supervisory roles.
  • Experience in implementing GIS solutions for asset management, land use planning, and water resource projects is preferred.
  • Background in engineering or planning consulting is advantageous.
  • Proven track record of leading teams to successful outcomes and expanding client relationships.
  • Possession of a Geographic Information System Planning (GISP) Certificate is a plus.
  • A valid driver's license is required.

Work Environment:

This position may involve a mix of office and fieldwork, requiring the ability to sit for extended periods, use hands for various tasks, and occasionally lift items up to ten pounds.
