Qualifications

Essential Skills and Experience

  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Experience in managing and analyzing large data sets, with a strong commitment to research.
  • Familiarity with local government structures, budgeting, and funding programs is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for quantitative modeling and analysis is required.
  • Competence in PowerPoint, Word, Adobe Acrobat Pro, and other relevant business software.
  • Experience with data analysis tools such as Access, Power BI/Tableau, GIS, SQL, Python, or R is a plus.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Adept at presenting analyses in collaborative settings and adjusting in real-time.
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently as well as within a distributed team.
  • Strong team-oriented mindset, willing to take on additional responsibilities for team success.
  • Meticulous attention to detail, ensuring deliverables meet high standards.
  • Willingness to travel as required, with potential travel up to 20% in the initial year.
  • A satisfactory driving record is necessary.

Education and Experience Requirements

  • Interest or experience in local government services and utility consulting is beneficial.
