Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sterile Processing Lead to join our team at Trinity Health. As a key member of our sterile processing department, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient processing of surgical instruments and equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of sterile processing technicians to ensure efficient and effective processing of surgical instruments and equipment.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless integration of sterile processing services.
  • Provide training and education to sterile processing technicians to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Conduct quality control and quality assurance activities to ensure the highest standards of quality and safety.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
  • At least five years of experience in sterile processing, with a minimum of two years in a supervisory or leadership role.
  • Nationally recognized specialty certification in sterile processing, such as CSPDT or CRCST.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and stand for long periods of time.
Working Conditions

The Sterile Processing Lead will work in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions and shifting priorities. The ability to work effectively in a team environment and to prioritize tasks and responsibilities is essential.
