We are seeking a highly skilled Certified Technician to join our team at Trinity Health. As a Certified Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and effective use of medical instruments and equipment.
Key Responsibilities- Perform sterile processing functions, including cleaning, decontamination, sterilization, and high-level disinfection of medical instruments and equipment.
- Assemble, package, and install medical instruments and equipment, ensuring they are safe and ready for use.
- Conduct quality control checks to ensure medical instruments and equipment meet safety and performance standards.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to resolve issues related to medical instruments and equipment.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest medical instrument and equipment technologies and best practices.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
- At least one year of experience in sterile processing or a related field.
- Nationally recognized specialty certification, such as CSPDT.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
This role requires working in a clinical environment with exposure to biohazards, chemicals, and other hazardous materials. You must be able to lift up to 30 pounds and stand for long periods. Regular attendance and punctuality are essential.
