Position Summary:
Compensation: $18.33/hour
As the In-Room Dining Supervisor, you will oversee the entire Room Service operation during your assigned shift. Your role includes assisting in staff scheduling, managing inventory, evaluating team performance, and addressing any necessary disciplinary actions. You will ensure that all company policies and procedures are followed while delivering exceptional service to our guests.

  • Maintain a professional demeanor at all times.
  • Guarantee guest satisfaction by adhering to the Standards of Service Manual for the Room Service Department.
  • Support team members to provide the highest quality service.
  • Ensure that all special events and amenities are presented according to guest and hotel standards.
  • Manage stock levels and maintain established controls.
  • Implement security measures, including key control and beverage stock management.
  • Document incidents thoroughly.
  • Supervise all Room Service hourly staff.
  • Assist with special guest requests as needed.
  • Oversee training and development initiatives.
  • Handle cash, credit, and complimentary procedures accurately.
  • Inspect staff for uniform compliance and cleanliness.
  • Ensure a safe working environment for all employees.
  • Adhere to food safety and sanitation protocols.
  • Maintain knowledge of food and beverage offerings throughout the resort.
  • Manage the private bar inventory and product levels.
  • Assist in other food and beverage areas as required.
  • Communicate effectively with the management team to ensure smooth operations.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
To succeed in this role, candidates should possess:

  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Understanding of company and departmental policies and procedures.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues and guests.
  • Proficiency in reading, writing, and verbal communication in English.
  • Capability to assist management and cashiers in departmental responsibilities.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Prior experience in a restaurant setting is preferred, along with a sanitation certificate and TIPS training or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in the room dining department.
  • Knowledge of food and beverage, including wines and liquors.
  • Strong computer skills for administrative tasks.

Physical Requirements:
The physical demands of this position include:

  • Mobility throughout the shift, including navigating crowded areas.
  • Bending and reaching from floor level to heights of 6 feet.
  • Lifting items up to 30 lbs.
  • Pushing and pulling Room Service carts weighing up to 70 lbs.
  • Normal sensory abilities including smell, taste, touch, and sound.
  • Regular attendance and punctuality.
  • Work in varying environmental conditions, including temperature fluctuations and noise levels.
