Job Summary

This position is responsible for assisting the Plant Manager in overseeing and supervising all operations of the assigned Midwest Manufacturing production facility.

Key Responsibilities

**Production Management**

  • Ensure that all products are manufactured in the most efficient manner.
  • Guarantee that all orders are fulfilled within an acceptable lead time.
  • Establish and evaluate production quotas, both quantity and quality.

**Facility Maintenance and Utilization**

  • Maintain all production facilities in good condition, orderly, and clean.
  • Optimize equipment usage to capacity to meet orders.

**Safety and Compliance**

  • Enforce all safety policies, ensure all training is up-to-date, and guarantee all equipment is properly maintained.
  • Document all safety training and maintenance.
  • Maintain open communication with team members regarding safety concerns.

**Product Merchandising**

  • Collaborate with the Menard Merchandise Manager and Buyer to acquire floor space and advertising, increasing sales for Midwest Manufacturing products.
  • Maintain a current price catalog.

**Training and Development**

  • Guide Manager Trainees in their initial employment to ensure they feel comfortable and become familiar with their surroundings.
  • Provide Manager Trainees with feedback on their strengths and weaknesses.

**Performance Metrics**

  • Achieve the highest possible profit dollars.
  • Balance inventory and minimize stock to ensure maximum turnover and in-stock position.
Requirements

**Minimum Qualifications**

  • Minimum two years of experience with Midwest Manufacturing or equivalent experience and/or training.
  • Minimum one year of supervisory experience is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of modern sales and management methods and techniques.
  • Able to write and speak clearly and accurately.
  • Able to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
  • Able to tactfully interact with guests and team members.
  • Strong knowledge of the construction industry.
