Overseeing plant operations and continuous improvements activities with overall responsibilities for all production related initiatives.EXPERIENCE:Minimum of 5-8 years' experience or more of progressive leadership managing manufacturing/plant operations specializing in sous videMinimum of 3 years or more years of production management experienceExperience handling sous vide food industry production audits good manufacturing practices andother food safety standardsDemonstrated ability to drive production in a manufacturing environmentEstablished track record of high performing plant leadership, fostering an environment of teamwork and common goals, and developing and mentoring manufacturing staffDemonstrates values of honesty and integrity, respect for others, teamwork, and collaboration, accountability, and performanceProven organizational, technical, quality, safety, and environmental skills as they relate to the operation and maintenance of facilitiesAbility to perform comfortably in a fast-paced, results-oriented environmentAbility to successfully execute many complex tasks simultaneouslyProficiency in MS OfficeExcellent written and verbal communication skillsEDUCATION:BA in manufacturing technology, a related field or equivalent experienceJOB RESPONSIBILITIES:Leads manufacturing facility to achieve operational excellence standards, business goals and objectives.Directs the ordering and upkeep of building, material handling equipment and inventory.Supports, builds, and continues initiatives for improvement in safety, quality, productivity and cost.Implements and reinforces operational policies and procedures throughout production processes to ensure that execution meets standards and expectations while adhering to food safety, customer expectations, productivity, and cost requirements.Direct and coordinate plant functions to assure common direction toward plant goals.Guide and support the plant quality system in procedures and controls to improve overall customer satisfaction.Be proactive and responsive to all facets of customer satisfaction including delivery, schedule changes and special instructions.Responsible for the supervision of internal sanitation staff.Be conversant in the company's integrated manufacturing ERP software.Assists the VP, Operations to plan bi-weekly production requirements and schedule employees to meet customer demand and minimize labor expenses.Collaborate with VP, Operations to identify staffing needs based on scheduling demands.Coordinate hiring/promoting of Operators and Supervisors with Human Resources.Work with Supervisors to provide regular feedback to operators regarding their performance, recognizing excellence and areas needing improvement.Provides coaching to those who need additional help to improve performance.Responds to questions regarding raw materials, partially prepped food, and completed food not meeting approved quality standards.Work with QA and R&D to identify food safety issues and take appropriate actions.Respond to production problems such as equipment failures, recipe questions, or noncompliance with approved quality standards.Perform other duties as may be assigned by management.
