COMPANY: Northbound Search represents a dynamic organization within the insurance sector, overseeing a diverse array of assets. Their offerings encompass asset management, actuarial services, accounting, and strategic advisory for insurance firms and clients. The company emphasizes investment strategies, acquisitions, and liability modeling, focusing on primary lines such as annuities, life insurance, and supplemental health products.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee and monitor reinsurance contracts.
  • Ensure the accuracy of records and financial spreadsheets.
  • Evaluate and implement processes for new reinsurance contracts.
  • Prepare journal entries and reconcile reinsurance transactions.
  • Manage financial reporting, accounts payable/receivable, and address audit inquiries.
  • Collaborate with the finance team and senior leadership.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related discipline with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience (experience in the insurance sector is advantageous).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; familiarity with SQL is a plus.
  • Excellent time management, attention to detail, and communication abilities.
  • Capable of handling multiple projects and thriving in a fast-paced environment.
