Position: Senior Maintenance Technician

Overview:

The Senior Maintenance Technician plays a critical role in maintaining the operational integrity of our facilities. This position requires a high level of expertise and is responsible for performing advanced maintenance tasks while advising management on preventative and corrective measures for facility equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to all safety protocols, including OSHA regulations and lock-out/tag-out procedures.
  • Conduct regular inspections of systems and equipment to identify potential issues and document performance metrics.
  • Perform complex repairs and maintenance on various equipment, including:
    • Electrical systems and controls.
    • Plumbing and associated components.
    • Mechanical and electrical machinery.
    • Routine assessments of building systems.
    • Data analysis to ensure optimal equipment functionality.
  • Handle administrative duties such as ordering parts, managing vendors, and participating in project meetings.
  • Document maintenance activities in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) and recommend updates to preventative maintenance schedules.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and clients to ensure clarity on work requests and project timelines.
  • Oversee maintenance projects, providing guidance to subcontractors as necessary.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent; additional training from an accredited trade school is preferred.
  • A minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and carpentry work.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license and any required certifications for specialized equipment.
  • Ability to interpret various forms of instructions and documentation related to maintenance tasks.
  • Proficient in using MS Office applications and maintenance management software.
  • Strong communication skills for effective interaction with clients and team members.

Competencies:

  • Proficient in the use of hand and power tools.
  • Ability to disassemble and reassemble mechanical systems.
  • Demonstrated skills in plumbing, electrical work, and carpentry.
  • Understanding of building systems, including HVAC and life safety systems.
  • Capability to operate various lifts and machinery safely.
  • Adaptability to changing priorities and customer needs.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 70 pounds, and work in various environmental conditions.
  • Exposure to mechanical parts, chemicals, and outdoor weather conditions.

Work Environment:

  • Engagement in tasks that may involve exposure to noise, fumes, and varying temperatures.
  • Utilization of personal protective equipment as required.
