Position Overview

The Inventory Management Specialist is accountable for accurately documenting and overseeing all inventory items that are procured and manufactured. This role includes receiving products from suppliers for quality assessment, managing the daily audit schedule, generating inventory reports, and ensuring the overall precision of warehouse stock.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct inventory audits to maintain system integrity during daily order fulfillment.
  • Investigate and resolve all data entry issues, adjustments, and discrepancies, ensuring adherence to established internal control protocols.
  • Assist in sustaining inventory accuracy by following up on previous adjustments and performing cycle counts.
  • Maintain time control tables that align with foundational tables, ensuring proper allocation and review.
  • Receive products from suppliers to verify quality and communicate any potential quality concerns to procurement personnel.
  • Update and maintain quality control and inventory management documentation.

Work Environment

  • Work is primarily conducted in a comfortable indoor setting, with infrequent and non-objectionable unpleasant conditions.
  • Most activities involve sitting or standing in a designated area, with occasional requirements to bend or lift light materials or equipment (typically under 8 pounds).
  • Overnight travel is minimal, generally less than 10% of the time.

Qualifications

  • A high school diploma or GED is strongly preferred. Specialized training or certification may be necessary. Typically requires 2-5 years of relevant experience.

Preferred Skills

  • Proven track record of delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Experience with sales order software, with familiarity in Oracle being advantageous.
  • Understanding of construction and industrial product offerings.
