Position Summary:
As an Inventory Management Specialist, you will be responsible for receiving, unloading, and processing deliveries while ensuring accurate accounting of incoming freight based on invoices and receiving documentation. Your role will involve staging merchandise by department, appropriately marking items for placement, and delivering them to the respective departments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Verify and track received inventory, completing necessary inventory reports and logs.
  • Reconcile shipping invoices with receiving reports to maintain count accuracy.
  • Manage the receipt, storage, shipment, and delivery of departmental packages and mail.
  • Ensure the security of the receiving area and its contents, safeguarding packages.
  • Adhere to all national, state, and local regulations regarding hazardous material shipping.
  • Process outgoing mail and packages efficiently.
  • Confirm the quantity and condition of packages upon receipt before delivery.
  • Maintain effective communication with guests regarding received packages.
  • Implement an accurate tracking system for all shipping and receiving transactions, including obtaining guest signatures for received items.
  • Report any loss or damage of packages to management promptly.

Safety and Compliance:
Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe working conditions to management. Participate in safety training and certifications as required.

Professional Conduct:
Adhere to all company policies and procedures, ensuring a clean and professional appearance. Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information and protect company assets.

Guest Relations:
Address guest service needs in a professional and timely manner. Communicate clearly and professionally with others, including answering phones with appropriate etiquette. Foster positive working relationships with colleagues.

Physical Requirements:
Ability to read and visually verify information in various formats. Conduct visual inspections of tools and equipment. Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance. Perform tasks requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination. Navigate through confined or elevated spaces and over uneven surfaces.
