At White Cap, we're committed to Building Trust on Every Job. As an Inventory Control Associate, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our warehouse operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Audit inventory to maintain system balance during daily order processing.
  • Research and resolve all keyed issues, adjustments, and discrepancies, ensuring compliance with established internal control procedures.
  • Assist in maintaining inventory accuracy by completing follow-up on previous inventory adjustments and reviewing cycle counts.
  • Maintain time control tables consistent with base tables, key, and review allocations.
  • Receive products from vendors to check for quality and communicate potential issues to buyers.
  • Maintain quality control and inventory control manuals.

Work Environment

  • Work in a comfortable indoor area with minimal unpleasant conditions.
  • Most of the time is spent sitting or standing in the same location, with occasional need to stoop or move/lift light materials or equipment.
  • Occasional overnight travel may be required.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED strongly preferred; specialized skills training/certification may be required.
  • Generally 2-5 years of experience in inventory control or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Demonstrated success in providing excellent customer service.
  • Experience using sales order computer software, with familiarity with Oracle preferred.
  • Knowledge of company construction and industrial products.
