Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Nurse Development Specialist to join our team at Houston Methodist West Hospital.

Responsibilities:
  • Deliver high-quality patient care under the guidance of a registered nurse, prioritizing safety and well-being.
  • Promote a positive work environment by collaborating with colleagues, fostering open communication, and actively contributing to interprofessional care teams.
  • Assist with patient care conferences, discharge planning, and rounding to ensure seamless transitions and effective patient outcomes.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, families, and healthcare providers, providing exceptional customer service and empathy.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, sharing ideas and best practices to enhance patient safety and satisfaction.
Requirements:
  • Enrolled in a school of nursing program, maintaining a minimum 3.2 GPA.
  • Successfully completed at least one clinical rotation.
  • BLS certification (AHA).
  • Demonstrate proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing English, with excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to perform basic patient care activities within defined limits and job scope.
Salary Range:

$42,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
