SUMMARY:


As a Healthcare Customer Service Specialist, you will play a crucial role in managing patient intake, appointment coordination, and directing clinical inquiries for various medical practices and facilities.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Welcomes patients, processes registrations, and schedules appointments as necessary.
- Assesses and directs clinical inquiries appropriately.
- Aids patients in completing required documentation.
- Keeps the reception area and workspace organized and tidy.
- Refers questions or issues to the relevant personnel.
- Achieves departmental productivity benchmarks.
- Understands billing procedures to assist healthcare providers and staff.
- Familiarizes with services offered by the practitioners and their locations.
- Inputs referral data as required.
- Organizes and retrieves medical records as needed.
- Ensures consistent and dependable attendance.
- Undertakes additional responsibilities as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- 0-1 year of experience in customer service within a call center, healthcare, or retail setting.
- Capable of requesting payments from patients at the time of service.
- Proficient in using computers and navigating multiple systems simultaneously.
- Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite.

PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:


The role involves physical activities such as standing, walking, and sitting for prolonged periods, as well as using hands, reaching, climbing stairs, balancing, stooping, kneeling, bending, crouching, talking, hearing, and lifting or moving items up to 20 pounds.

Specific vision capabilities are necessary.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
This position is situated in a well-lit, ventilated, and climate-controlled office space equipped with standard office equipment. The noise level is typical for an office and/or medical clinic setting.
