Overview:
Brookdale University Park is seeking a highly skilled Resident Engagement Director to lead our community's programs and activities. This role is responsible for creating a culture of engagement that supports the physical, emotional, and social well-being of our residents.

Responsibilities:
Develop and implement programs that promote resident engagement, socialization, and community building. Collaborate with department leaders to ensure a seamless and effective delivery of services. Hire, train, and supervise a team of associates to support program development and execution. Ensure compliance with Brookdale's Excellence Standards Tool (BEST) and relevant state and federal regulations. Manage department budgets and vendor contracts. Represent the department in community meetings and participate in regional calls and trainings.

Qualifications:
A minimum of 3 years of experience in resident programming and engagement. Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred. Leadership experience and strong analytical skills required. Ability to speak effectively before groups and deal with problems involving several concrete variables. Computer software skills, including Microsoft Excel and Word, and social media platforms. Maintains a positive and professional demeanor towards residents, visitors, families, and coworkers. Excellent oral and written communication and teaching skills required.

Standing, walking, sitting, use of hands and fingers, reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouch, or crawling, talk or hear, ability to lift up to 50 pounds, vision, requires interaction with co-workers, residents, or vendors, occasional weekend, evening, or night work, on-call as needed, possible exposure to communicable diseases and infections, exposure to latex, possible exposure to blood-borne pathogens, possible exposure to various drugs, chemical, infectious, or biological hazards, subject to injury from falls, burns, odors, or cuts from equipment, requires driving.
